The top memecoin launchpad on Solana, Pump.fun, has introduced PumpSwap, a decentralized exchange (DEX) that aims to improve liquidity, remove trade fees, and simplify token movement.
A New Era of Tokens Based in Solana
All launchpad tokens that finish their bonding curve will be supported by PumpSwap, as was announced in a post on X on March 20, 2025. Like Raydium v4 and Uniswap v2, the platform uses a constant product automated market maker (AMM) methodology to let users construct and manage liquidity pools.
Pump.fun highlighted that the purpose of PumpSwap was to remove friction associated with migration, which frequently impedes token movement. In order to accomplish this, the DEX eliminated the six SOL migration fees that were previously in place, guaranteeing quick and inexpensive token swaps.
PumpSwap will first impose a trading cost of 0.25%, of which 0.05% will go to the protocol and 0.20% to liquidity providers. After creator revenue sharing is put into place, the pricing schedule is anticipated to change.
Increased Ecosystem and Integration of Cross-Chains
PumpSwap will support a number of significant partner platform tokens in addition to memecoins, such as LayerZero, Jupiter, Aptos, Tron, Pudgy Penguins, and Sei. Coinbase’s cbBTC, Ethena Labs’ USDe, and Frax Finance’s frxUSD and FXS will also be integrated into the DEX.
Tron DAO posted on X, emphasizing its dedication to cross-chain growth:
“TRON’s involvement in this initiative further strengthens its commitment to cross-chain innovation and the expansion of decentralized finance access. As PumpSwap grows, it aims to become a key liquidity hub, supporting on and off-ramps across multiple blockchains and driving broader adoption of Web3 technologies.”
Competing with LaunchLab from Raydium
The unveiling of Raydium’s LaunchLab, a memecoin factory that facilitates efficient token manufacturing and launches, comes after the launch of PumpSwap. The next stage of the DeFi environment in Solana will be shaped by the competition between Raydium’s LaunchLab and Pump.fun’s PumpSwap.
