Despite inconsistent cryptocurrency price movement, the NFT market has rebounded, with total sales rising to $224.5 million, a 16.36% rise. Ethereum (ETH) retreated from last week’s $4,000 milestone, while Bitcoin (BTC) has regained the $100,000 threshold.
CryptoSlam reports that although sales volumes are still strong, the number of unique NFT customers has drastically decreased by 73.97% to 180,641. According to CoinMarketCap data, the overall cryptocurrency market capitalization decreased somewhat from $3.67 trillion to $3.63 trillion.
NFT Sales Are Led by Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana Show Gains
In terms of NFT sales, the Ethereum blockchain continues to lead with $118.9 million, a 21.33% increase from the prior period. But wash trading on Ethereum also increased significantly, rising 117.35% to $43.8 million.
Wash trade increased more moderately at 11.30%, indicating cleaner trading activity than Ethereum, while Bitcoin’s NFT ecosystem followed with $51.8 million in sales, or a 14.79% spike.
Solana strengthened its position by increasing revenues by 32.12% to $21.4 million. ImmutableX and Mythos Chain, with sales of $8.5 million and $10.9 million, respectively, completed the top five blockchains.
Market Growth Is Driven by Pudgy Penguins
In terms of collection rankings, Pudgy Penguins, which consists of 8,888 distinct avatars, continued to hold the top position. Sales reached $30 million, a 51.53% increase. Rekindled interest and improved market performance are being driven by the brand’s growth into licensing options, which now include toys and merchandise.
While BRC-20 NFTs maintained their impressive performance, with sales of $15.5 million, up 54.63%, emerging collections such as LilPudgys experienced an astounding 1,021.54% rise, reaching $13.5 million.
Guild of Guardians Heroes, which finished in the top five, and Azuki, whose sales increased by an astounding 179.46%, are other noteworthy achievers.
