The United Arab Emirates (UAE), known for its immense wealth, has recently started using Cardano blockchain technology to enhance the security of its criminal investigations. Chris O, the founder of Cardano’s GhostFund DAO, shared news about the UAE’s move as a significant step towards widespread practical use of blockchain.

During the World Police Summit in Dubai, the Dubai Police presented a pilot project built on Cardano that focuses on managing data efficiently. This project was developed to facilitate the safe exchange of sensitive criminal investigation data with global authorities, including Interpol.

The showcase of the Cardano-based initiative underlined the sophisticated security measures for transferring critical forensic details, like scans of bullets encased in concrete, captured using advanced scanning technology. The blockchain ensures that this crucial forensic data is shared securely with international partners.

Chris O emphasized that the reliability and tamper-proof nature of Cardano’s data management system are why the Dubai Police chose it. The adoption of Cardano by the UAE is a testament to the blockchain technology’s potential for revolutionizing data management with its transparent, decentralized approach.
