A recent financial disclosure reveals that former President Donald Trump holds a substantial cryptocurrency portfolio, valued at approximately $1.8 million. This portfolio includes $1.28 million in Ethereum and various other tokens, including a Trump-themed (MAGA) meme coin, as disclosed by on-chain tracking platform Arkham Intelligence. The report, published by transparency advocacy group CREW, however, did not specify the exact amount of cryptocurrency in Trump’s possession.
Additionally, the filings highlight Trump’s significant income from NFT licensing fees, amounting to $7.15 million, through a deal with NFT INT. Melania Trump also reportedly earned $330,609 from NFT sales associated with the same company.
Despite previously expressing skepticism toward cryptocurrencies, labeling them as “highly volatile” and “based on thin air,” Trump has since pivoted. His current presidential campaign promotes a pro-crypto stance, with promises to establish a national strategic Bitcoin reserve if victorious in the November 5 elections.
Adding to the crypto buzz, on August 7, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump teased a “huge upcoming announcement” on social media. The announcement, which was later confirmed by Eric Trump to be focused on “digital real estate,” has generated widespread speculation within the crypto community.
Trump’s campaign has actively courted the cryptocurrency sector, raising over $3 million in crypto donations, solidifying their support among crypto enthusiasts.
