Antony Welfare, an adviser on central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) at Ripple, expressed the increasing global interest in CBDCs and stablecoins in a tweet on July 7. He emphasized that Ripple’s team is actively exploring practical applications for CBDCs and stablecoins, with a specific focus on tokenizing real estate assets.
At a fintech conference in Romania, Welfare presented a use case that combines the digital Hong Kong dollar (e-HKD), tokenized real estate, and finance lending protocols.
