OpenAI Unveils GPT Store: Monetize Your Custom AI Creations!

OpenAI’s Artificial Intelligence lab is gearing up to allow creators of generative pre-trained transformers (GPT) to make money from their custom AI systems. These personalized AIs will be featured on the newly unveiled GPT Store, a marketplace dedicated to personalized AI applications.

The company shared its plans for GPT monetization in conjunction with the launch of the GPT Store through a blog post on Wednesday, January 10. According to the post, OpenAI is set to kick off a GPT builder revenue program in Q1 of 2024. Initially, creators in the United States will receive compensation based on user engagement with their respective GPTs. The announcement also mentioned that the GPT Store will first be accessible to users subscribed to paid ChatGPT plans.
