OKX, a crypto exchange, has entered into a sponsorship agreement with the English football club Manchester City, becoming their “official sleeve partner.”
This new partnership builds upon OKX’s existing agreement as Manchester City‘s “Official Training Kit Partner” for the upcoming 2022-2023 season, as stated in an announcement made by Manchester City on Friday.
As part of this expanded collaboration, the OKX logo will be prominently displayed on the left sleeve of both the men’s and women’s first teams’ jerseys. Additionally, the logo will continue to feature on the teams’ training kits, just as it did previously.
Manchester City took to Twitter to announce the signing of the sponsorship deal, emphasizing the importance of integrating Web3 technology into the world of football and expressing their desire to foster ongoing innovation in collaboration with OKX. The football club aims to bring Web3 technology closer to the game and explore new possibilities for advancement.
“We are very proud to have OKX represented on the sleeve of the Manchester City shirt,” Ferran Soriano, CEO of City Football Group, said in a statement.
He added that OKX has already made “great Web3 experiences” for Manchester City, and noted that there “will be many more to come.”
“This is a very exciting partnership,” the football team’s CEO said.
