Binance has recently passed the SOC 2 Type II compliance audit, setting a high standard for security in the industry. An independent audit by A-LIGN rigorously examined Binance’s security measures, with a specific focus on system protection and data security. This successful audit underlines the effectiveness and solid design of Binance’s security protocols in daily operations.
Jimmy Su, Binance’s Chief Security Officer, stated, “We have invested considerably in proving that cryptocurrency platforms can adhere to, or even exceed, the stringent criteria of traditionally regulated sectors.”
In addition, Binance has achieved the ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications in four regions: France, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Turkey, recognizing its outstanding management of information security and privacy. This follows Binance’s earlier completion of the SOC 2 Type I audit in March, which paved the way for the more extensive Type II audit.
Following the U.S. Department of Justice settlement last month, Binance has been concentrating more on compliance and regulations to enhance transparency and sustain trust with its extensive user base. This focus is exemplified by Binance’s recent accomplishments, which mirror a similar achievement by OKX, which also completed the SOC 2 Type II audit earlier in September.
