ApeCoin DAO Approves APE-Themed Hotel in Bangkok

Earlier this week, the ApeCoin decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) initiated a proposal to launch an APE-themed hotel in central Bangkok, garnering substantial support from the community.

With over 91% of votes in favor, the proposal, named AIP-448, signifies strong backing for the hotel’s inception. Voting commenced on July 18, and at press time, 4.6 million APE had been cast in favor, while 411,000 APE opposed the initiative, representing 8.16% of the total votes.

AIP-448 aims to integrate intellectual property, hospitality, the arts, and cryptocurrency into a singular venture. The proposed establishment will feature ApeCoin-centric exhibitions, an APE-themed bar, and various rooms adorned to represent different APE communities. Additional amenities may include an APE-branded swimming pool and dedicated exhibition spaces.

To realize this vision, the ApeCoin Hotel seeks 410,000 APE from the ApeCoin ecosystem fund, with voting set to conclude on July 31. The DAO envisions the hotel as a multifaceted initiative to promote ApeCoin, ApeChain, and various APE communities.

Half of the revenue generated from themed rooms is proposed to be allocated to the ApeCoin DAO treasury for one year. Additionally, the hotel plans to accept ApeCoin as a payment method, showcasing the cryptocurrency’s practical utility and potentially enhancing its circulation.

The hotel project includes several community-centric initiatives, such as offering 50 complimentary nights of accommodation to APE holders and providing free access to select hotel facilities for community members. A unique check-in process will require guests to verify their ApeCoin Forum membership and wallet balance upon arrival.
