Aave V3 Launches on ZKSync Era Mainnet, Unlocking New DeFi Opportunities

Aave V3 has officially launched on the ZKSync Era mainnet, marking a significant step forward in liquidity access and yield generation within the zero-knowledge-powered blockchain ecosystem. According to Aave Labs, this deployment allows the Aave community to harness advanced ZK technology, thereby broadening the reach of decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions.

This integration is expected to drive greater institutional adoption within the Elastic Chain—a network of independent chains, including rollups, that utilize ZKSync’s innovative technology. In parallel, the Aptos Foundation recently suggested deploying Aave V3 on the Aptos mainnet, further expanding Aave’s influence across diverse blockchain networks.

Expanding Institutional Use Cases

The deployment introduces a range of new institutional use cases, including private networks and custom platforms tailored to specific asset classes, user risk profiles, and market segments. Additionally, users will gain access to GHO, Aave’s decentralized, overcollateralized stablecoin.

Stani Kulechov, the founder and CEO of Aave Labs, emphasized that the launch of Aave V3 on the ZKSync Era mainnet presents a unique opportunity for collaboration and innovation between the Aave and ZKSync communities. “By combining ZK-proofs with the Elastic Chain ecosystem, Aave can unlock unprecedented scalability, privacy, and security, expanding the DeFi user base and enabling new institutional use cases,” Kulechov stated.

Integration of Chainlink Price Feeds

In tandem with this deployment, Aave V3 will integrate Chainlink’s reliable price feeds, ensuring accurate and trustworthy data for users. Additionally, the Aave Chan Initiative, an Aave DAO delegate and service provider, will manage and redistribute any airdrops from ZKSync, leveraging liquidity mining and other incentive mechanisms.

The Aave DAO has approved four assets for initial accessibility on Era, including stablecoins USDT and USDC, Wrapped Ethereum (WETH), and Wrapped stETH (wstETH), enhancing the ecosystem’s utility and flexibility.
