Step-by-Step Guide:
- Go to Somnia Testnet website and connect your wallet
- Scroll down and click “Add Network”
- Next, click “Request Tokens” to get 0,5 test $STT
- Click “Send Tokens” and send your test $STT to a random address
- Go to SomniaSwap website
- Mint $PING and $PONG
- Make swaps (Make swaps every few days to stay active on the network)

Somnia is a high-speed, cost-effective Layer 1 blockchain that’s fully EVM-compatible and capable of handling over 1,000,000 transactions per second (TPS) with sub-second finality. Designed for scalability, it can support millions of users and power real-time, fully on-chain applications like games, social platforms, and metaverses.
In its early MVPs, Somnia successfully reached 1,000,000 TPS across a network of over 100 globally distributed nodes, processing ERC-20 transfers between hundreds of thousands of accounts. The next step is to deploy Uniswap and test how many swaps per second the blockchain can handle, followed by simulating a large-scale NFT mint similar to the Otherside Otherdeed mint. These real-world benchmarks will provide a true measure of Somnia’s performance.
