The Linera project aims to create and promote a new execution model designed for linear scaling. In this model, operations on different user accounts will run simultaneously in separate threads, allowing for parallel processing. This means that execution can be scaled up by simply adding more processing units to each validator. In traditional web2 setups, these additional units, often called “workers” or “shards,” are deployed on demand in data centers or through cloud services.
