Recently, Microsoft unveiled a number of new AI-driven features for its Edge web browser and Bing chatbot, including full access to the GPT-4 model, the same underlying technology that underpins the ChatGPT Plus subscription service.

The new functionalities won’t require any purchases or subscriptions, but users will need a free Microsoft account to access the full range of capabilities of the Bing chatbot. In contrast, the same GPT-4 model is accessible through OpenAI‘s ChatGPT Plus service for $20 per month.
