36% of the top 1,000 crypto projects went silent on blogging this year

More than a third of the top 1,000 cryptocurrency projects, which includes both cryptocurrency businesses and specific tokens, haven’t added any new content to their websites since 2023.

A startling 35.8% of the top 1,000 cryptocurrency projects have failed to update their websites with any new written material this year, according to a May 1 research report by blockchain marketing agency Guerilla Buzz, whose clients include companies like CoinGecko and cryptocurrency exchange AAX.

Additionally, the report discovered that only 49.7% of these 1,000 projects had published more than two new articles by 2023.

The idea for the comparison study, according to Guerilla Buzz researchers, came about as a result of their observation that “many crypto companies do not prioritize strong marketing foundations.” Instead of placing a higher priority on long-term organic growth, the majority of these businesses decide to concentrate their efforts on “creating buzz for their token sales” and “opting for short-lived growth spurts.”

The research methodology, according to the article, was “labor-intensive” but “straightforward.” First, researchers manually checked each of the top 1,000 crypto projects’ corresponding websites to see if it had a blog. From there, they evaluated the quantity of current articles and looked up the number of fresh blog entries that had been produced in 2023.

Of the top 10 crypto projects, Binance’s BNB Chain was the clear blogging leader, with 59 new articles published this year. In second place was Polygon with 36 new posts, followed by Cardano with 12.
