TGE launched production of industrial miner “Reactor”

TGE Company has developed and launched the serial production of the “Reactor” mining platform, which can significantly improve the economic effect of the industrial development of cryptocurrencies. TGE President, Ilya Rashkin, believes that Russia now has all chances to become a global player in securing the world’s blockchain network by developing and manufacturing the first Russian mining equipment. It should be noted that, at the moment, China is the absolute leader in creating infrastructure for mining, and Russia accounts for only 2% of the mining capacity.

The development is a high-tech two-phase immersion cooling system (4000 times more efficient than air cooling), own power source using carbide-silicon elements (SiC), power 30 kW with increased efficiency, and the whole range of electronic systems for mining on the algorithm SHA-256 (Bitcoin), and updated hash-boards with 16 and 14nm chips from corporation Bitfury. The combination of these technologies makes it possible to remove the dependence of productivity on climatic conditions, to reduce capital costs, to provide more than 10% reduction in energy consumption, which, on the whole, substantially reduces the payback period of the equipment when mining the cryptocurrency.

Also, a unique technological solution is the modularity of the design, allowing to upgrade the aging hash components, without replacing the main infrastructure (hull, heat removal system, basic electronic systems), which also increases the investment attractiveness of the new miner due to the large savings on CAPEX and OPEX.

In the future, TGE plans to develop the “Reactor” 250 and 500 kW mining platforms (including the container format), and by the end of 2018, they will be put into serial production. In addition, TGE is working with several Japanese companies for the delivery of 12 and 7 nm (nanometer) chips, as already planned in Q2-Q2 2019, serial production of hash boards with 12 and 7 nm chips, as well as hash boards based on chips with a process technology of 5 nm in 2020. Such hash-boards will be accessibleΒ to the owners of the “Reactor” platform.

It is important to note that Russia has begun preparations for a new industrial revolution by approving the state program “National Technological Initiative” for the purpose of Russia’s global technological leadership by 2035 and the program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”, which also defines the development of the digital economy and end-to-end technologies in Russia.
