Belarus is in the top ten European countries that are most friendly to the cryptocurrencies

The authors of the study, international experts, presented at the BlockShow Europe 2018 conference. Specialists studied the situation with cryptocurrency and blockchain technology (this is a special way of storing data, including transactions and transactions) in 48 European countries. Experts assessed them according to several criteria: the possibility of using cryptocurrency as a means of payment, the regulation of ICO (the form of attracting investments in the form of selling new cryptocurrencies), as well as issues related to taxation of cryptocurrencies. For each of these points, experts rated from 0 (lowest score) to 10.

As a result, Belarus closes the ten most friendly countries to cryptocurrencies in Europe. The experts gave the country an overall rating of 9.

– Belarus came in the top ten due to the fact that the tax on Bitcoin until 2023 is 0%. According to the Belarusian authorities, the cryptocurrencies will not be taxed until 2023 to help create a special economic zone – the High-Tech Park, which is conceived as a competitor of the Silicon Valley. In addition, Belarus has also given legal status to smart contracts – International experts explained their choice.

Of course, the country would not occupy such a high position if at the end of last year the president did not sign the decree “On the development of the digital economy”, which legalized both the cryptocurrency and the blockchain. By the way, none of its countries-neighbors are in the top 10. And Switzerland took the first place with an overall rating of 26.
